  Testimonials Social Responsibility Diversity
The role of Ashford University extends beyond our own office walls. Social responsibility is a major force within our organization so we regularly give back via time, support, and volunteerism to many worthy causes focused on education, youth, and the military. Ashford University supports a variety of charitable organizations throughout the communities we serve.

Project Working Moms and Dads Too
"Project Working Moms and Dads Too" is a national scholarship initiative that aims to help remove the barriers of money, time and confidence, which often keep people from returning to school. Ashford University, an academic institution of Bridgepoint Education, is proud to have awarded more than $2 million in full-ride online college scholarships to working moms and dads.

Warrior Foundation
The Warrior Foundation through the Navy League helps wounded and disabled military heroes leading the fight in the war against terror. They vow to assist, honor, and support the soldiers who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country. We are proud to support military heroes, and have provided 10 Warriors with the opportunity to go home for the holidays.
Marine Corps Community Service
Every year, the Hard Corps Race Series stages their famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run, a 10K race and obstacle course held to raise money for Marine Corps Community Service. Five executive athletes — members of "Team Bridgepoint" — proved they were not afraid to get their hands (and clothes) dirty all for a good cause.
A Salute to Teachers
Ashford University, an academic institution of Bridgepoint Education, is proud to support A Salute to Teachers. This program is an annual event which serves to identify and recognize those teachers who most effectively represent and symbolize the positive contributions of all California teachers. A Salute to Teachers is the official stepping-stone to the California Teacher of the Year and National Teacher of the Year programs.
Make-A-Wish Foundation®
The mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Bridgepoint Education is honored to have participated in the “Season of Wishes,” by sponsoring two wishes to children with big dreams and even bigger hearts. In early 2010, Bridgepoint Education also sponsored the Walk for Wishes, a family event which includes a 1-mile walk through SeaWorld. Additionally, employees volunteered for the Hoops 4 Wishes basketball tournament at Admiral Bakersfield which helped raise money to grant wishes.
Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement prepares students for economic achievement and success through its local in-school and hands-on programs. Bridgepoint Education is proud to sponsor Junior Achievement's annual "Teachers for a Day" program. Once a year, our employees volunteer their workday at a local elementary school teaching kindergarten through fifth-grade classrooms. The event provides volunteers with the opportunity to work with students firsthand, allowing them to experience the challenges and joys of being a teacher — if only for a few hours.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego
The second largest Boys & Girls Club in California, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego is a non-profit organization serving children and youth between the ages of five and eighteen, especially reaching out to kids who need a safe place to go after school. Currently, the Bridgepoint Team assists elementary and middle school students from the 4S Ranch and Poway Clubs with the first ever Kids Page published in the Pomerado Newspapers – the Poway Chieftain and the News Journal in Rancho Bernardo and 4S Ranch.
Teacher Appreciation Night
Coordinated by the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) and sponsored in part by Ashford University and Cox Communications, Teacher Appreciation Night is held at Petco Park — home field of the San Diego Padres baseball team. Ashford University, an academic institution of Bridgepoint Education, has been participating in Teacher Appreciation Night since 2006, honoring the local teaching profession by sponsoring four full-ride scholarships in one of Ashford University’s education degrees at the Master’s level to teachers in San Diego County.
